I start every Rustic Loom design with a painted sketch in my Brooklyn studio.

Ikat fabric is an intricate craft. We work with artisans in India who tie and dye the warp threads on the loom by hand to create the pattern, then weave fabric in small batches.  The design process is completed by a women’s organization in India who sew the fabrics into product.
