Cloth Placemat Red

I designed this pattern in my Brooklyn studio and worked on production on a trip to Ghana. The stripe pattern is inspired by geometry in nature, and made of layers of batik wax printing and dyeing.

Each Cloth Placemat Red is hand batik painted with wax, and then hand dyed by Mr. Edmunson, a local craftsman in Ghana, and then sewn by a local seamstress, Meek. Every piece is sewn with a cloth Rustic Loom label, and attached with a beautiful hang tag with a description the type of textile and where from where the piece comes originates.

Placemats can be used in multiples or as one centerpiece for the table. Mix and match with our throw pillows, placemats, napkins, and runners.
